The former Chelsea striker Eden Hazard was left out of the squad for Real Madrid ahead of their fixture vs Real Betis.

Eden Hazard is out of the team roster because of an injury. Real Madrid faces Real Betis on Saturday in a La Liga clash.

However, the Belgian forward will soon complete one year at the Spanish club. Though, he has not scored enough goals for Los Blancos.

Hazard scored his only goal for Madrid against Granada on October 5 last year. He moved to the Spain capital from Chelsea for £100 million.

Evidently, the winger failed to show his top-class performance at Bernabeu due to injury.

According to SPORTbible, he returned to the squad with excessive weight. Also, his poor performance indicates that he is out of shape.

Diario AS writer Tomas Roncero wrote about Hazard’s omission from Saturday’s game. He claimed that the star striker did not give his best for the club.

He writes: “And the problem is not his ankle. It is due to his lack of commitment during the summer break period, after which he returned the same way he arrived last summer when he signed for what we believed to be the team of his “dreams” – overweight and totally out of shape. There is no other way to put it.

“You have to watch clips of him in ‘blue’ to enjoy his talent. Because in ‘white’ we only know that he has a high-risk ankle and chronic problems getting into shape. I feel cheated and frustrated by his lack of commitment.

“Being a Madrid player is not a joke but Hazard’s situation is becoming a big one.”

Hazard displayed his incredible talent when he played at Stamford Bridge. Although, he failed to showcase his abilities while at Real Madrid.

The Belgian had the worst season of his career with Los Blancos. Though, the 29-year-old received his first La Liga medal after Madrid’s title victory last season.

“This year, we collectively won this league title, but I have surely had the worst season of my career individually,” he told France Info.

“It was a somewhat strange season, with everything that happened. When you play for Real Madrid, you want to win all the titles.”

Now that Gareth Bale went back to Tottenham, Hazard feels the opportunity to blossom at the club.
