England will be aiming for a back-to-back win in this year’s Nations League when they take on Denmark, but they might be in for a surprise.

England had nearly accepted taking away just a point from their opening 2020 Nations League match but lady luck smiled upon them before the clock had only a few seconds left to tick off.

In fact, the match could have easily gone the other way. Kyle Walker got marching orders before Birkir Bjarnason missed a golden opportunity to put his side on the front foot from the spot. Raheem Sterling did not miss a similar chance at the other end as he converted a penalty in stoppage time to snatch all three points.

Denmark’s welcome to the competition did not transpire according to their scripts as they lost 2-0 to Belgium.

The Three Lions will now attempt to pounce on the Red and Whites when the two sides meet at Telia Parken, Copenhagen in matchday 2 of League A Group 2 on Tuesday.

Denmark vs England Form:

The results have been in favor of Denmark up until their last defeat. They gained Euro 2020 qualification with being unbeaten in their group while scoring 23 goals in the process.

The English have forged a reputation as one of the most aggressive sides in the world, scoring a remarkable 37 goals in Euro 2020 qualifiers – more goals than any other team except Belgium.

Denmark vs England Team News:

The Danes have neither injury nor suspension issues. It will not be a surprise to see Kasper Hjulmand stick with the same line up as in the previous match despite suffering a defeat.

Their opponents, on the other hand, will be without Walker, who is serving a one-match suspension. Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to take his place in the line-up.

Denmark vs England Head to Head:

The Scandinavians have an unfavorable head to head record against their upcoming opponents. Out of the 19 games they’ve played against England in the past, 12 have ended in a defeat for them.

Their most recent defeat came in 2014 as they submitted to a 1-0 defeat to Roy Hodgson’s men.
