Ousmane Dembele has been declared fit enough to play if he is needed by Barcelona manager Quique Setien.

Quique Setien knows full well he needs every world-class player he can get his hands on to improve his chances of beating Bayern Munich.

The La Liga giants face off against Germany’s best in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Lionel Messi is the king-pin for the Catalonians. But having an inform Luis Suarez, a fit Antoinne Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele would be a help too.

All but the latter have proved they are ready to play their part. Well, that was until today. The young French attacker was today cleared by his boss to participate.

Dembele’s time at Barcelona has been nothing short of a nightmare. This has led to speculation of the club being desperate to offload him.

However, while he is still on the books and fit and in form, Dembele can be a game-changer.

That is what Setien is hoping for even if he has to use him even for just a short period of time.

In an interview reported by Goal, Setien was happy with his preparations and the latest available player to return to the squad.

He said:

“We have arrived in good spirits. This is the game we are waiting for. We have prepared well.”

“It is a satisfaction for all of us that Dembele is in the squad.”

“I think he will be in a position to participate for a few minutes if we consider it appropriate. We are excited that he can play and get it right.”
