The Blues hope to defend their World Cup title by beating Argentina on Sunday.

Ousmane Dembele believes France can beat Argentina in the World Cup final due to their experience in the tournament.

Dembele was part of France’s World Cup-winning team in 2018 as they defeated Croatia in the final.

Back in the last-16 stage, Dembele and co had eliminated Argentina from the tournament. But the Barcelona star believes the Albiceleste have also improved since then.

“It’s not a dream yet. We’re calmer and have more experience. We want to prepare well for this final,” he said at a press conference on Friday.

“It will be a great day. We are ready for this fight against a difficult opponent. Argentina are better than they were in 2018.

“In 2018 there were more crazy people in this team. There is a very nice atmosphere in 2022 too, but it is not comparable.”

France have played with a combination of young and experienced stars so far in the tournament.

The likes of Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann have held on to their places in France’s attacking line, while Aurelien Tchouameni has found his role in midfield.

Let’s see whether France claim the title again, or Lionel Messi fulfils his dream of winning the World Cup trophy.
