The former Chelsea striker reckons Cristiano Ronaldo can look forward to life under the new Red Devils interim manager.

Demba Ba reckons Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick will get the best out of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Red Devils have confirmed Rangnick’s appointment, subject to work visa requirements, after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on November 21.

The former RB Leipzig and Schalke boss has a big reputation in Germany and is expected to make changes to a United side that has performed way below expectations this season.

Indeed, given Rangnick’s status as the ‘godfather of gegenpressing’, many pundits and fans have wondered how Ronaldo, who doesn’t press a lot during games, fits into his plans.

But Ba, who played under Rangnick at Hoffenheim, insists CR7 has nothing to worry about with his old boss.

“Yes. I believe yes,” Ba said on beIN Sports on if Ronaldo can fit into Rangnick’s line-up before United’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Sunday.

“Rangnick has that intelligence to get the best out of the players.

“Also, I believe that he also has that intelligence to adapt to that squad he has, when he has it.”

Ronaldo could play his first match under the new United interim boss at home to Arsenal on Thursday in the Premier League.
