The FC Barcelona sporting director has opened up on plans to sign two loan signings on permanent deals.
Barcelona sporting director Deco has said the club will try to sign Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo permanently in the summer.
The two Portuguese players joined Barcelona on season-long loan deals last summer. Felix arrived from Atletico Madrid, while Cancelo came from Manchester City. They are both set to return to their parent clubs at the end of the campaign.
“Cancelo is our right back and has contributed a lot. Joao Felix started very well and has given us points,” Deco told La Vanguardia on the duo.
“[Signing them] will depend on many things because they are not our players, but we will try.”
Together, Felix and Cancelo have contributed toward 18 goals in all competitions for Barcelona this season.
Felix has managed seven goals and five assists in 28 appearances thus far, while Cancelo has tallied three goals and three assists in 25 outings.
They will look to continue making an impact this Sunday when Barcelona play Granada at home in LaLiga.
