The Belgian star’s reported negotiations with Juventus have infuriated Inter.
Inter have reportedly left negotiations to sign Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku ahead of the next season.
The Belgian star returned to Stamford Bridge after ending his season-long loan spell at San Siro. The Nerazzurri, however, soon started their efforts to bring him on a permanent summer move.
Chelsea entered negotiations with Inter around a week ago, but it seems they should now look for new suitors.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Lukaku’s negotiations with Juventus have convinced Inter to call off their move for the striker.
The Sky Sports journalist claims Inter’s decision won’t impact Chelsea’s stance on Lukaku. The Blues still want the striker to join a new club this summer, not including him in their pre-season squad.
Juventus have joined the race to sign Lukaku by directly negotiating with the 30-year-old. However, the Biancori won’t be able to complete a move for Lukaku before selling Dusan Vlahovic.
In addition to Juve, Al Hilal have shown interest in signing Lukaku. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Saudi Arabian giants are open to paying £45m per season for the former Inter star.
Lukaku initially rejected Al Hilal’s offer earlier this summer. However, with the Inter transfer being out of the window, the Belgium international might decide to end his European career.
