The Catalans are pushing for more defensive recruitments before the summer transfer window closes.
Barcelona have agreements in place to sign Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso on the transfer window’s deadline day.
The Catalans will reportedly sign Alonso as part of their deal to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues will pay €14m on top of the swap deal.
Elsewhere in London, Arsenal have agreed to terminate Hector Bellerin’s contract.
Following a successful season at Real Betis, Bellerin will now return to La Liga to play for Barca.
The 27-year-old will reportedly sign a one-year deal at Camp Nou once Arsenal complete the process of terminating his contract.
Barcelona aim to complete their busy transfer window by adding Bellerin and Alonso to their backline.
The pair will join Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen as Xavi’s new defensive options for the ongoing season.
Meanwhile, the club have sent Sergino Dest on loan to Milan. The USMNT right-back arrives on an initial one-year loan, but the Rossoneri would have the option to sign him for €20m next summer.
Barcelona hope to have the new signings at their disposal by the time they meet Viktoria Plzen in their Champions League opener on Wednesday.
