Let’s check out the latest updates as we approach the final hours of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United and Arsenal are pushing to complete their transfer window activity with two new signings today.

United started the deadline day by announcing the arrival of Antony from Ajax.

A controversial transfer saga saw the Brazilian star join the Red Devils on a €100m move.

He joined Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, and Casemiro as United’s signings in their first transfer window under Erik ten Hag.

The club, however, went on to complete a loan move for Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka later on.

The Slovakian keeper arrives at Old Trafford on a one-year deal. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils will also have an option to sign Dubravka permanently next summer.

Dubravka replaces Dean Henderson as United second-choice keeper following the latter’s loan move to Nottingham Forest earlier this summer.

In London, Arsenal have allowed Hector Bellerin to join Barcelona on a free transfer.

The club’s main deadline-day story, however, is their efforts to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa.

Villa rejected Arsenal’s first offer for the 24-year-old earlier on Thursday.

However, the Gunners are preparing a second bid, hoping to change Villa’s mind in the final hours of the transfer window.

According to 90min, Steven Gerrard is determined to keep Luiz, who has entered the final year of his contract.

Arsenal, on the other hand, hope to increase their squad depth in midfield amid Mohamed Elneny and Thomas Partey’s injury problems.
