After his performance against Wolves, Kevin De Bruyne was fired up and explained why he has the intention to fight for the title against Liverpool.

Kevin De Bruyne is currently leading a new attempt to compete for trophies against Liverpool. The Belgian midfielder is doing everything right for that to happen, but beating the Reds won’t be easy. Although the title fight still seems like a tournament for two clubs only, the truth couldn’t be further from the truth.

There are at least 10 competitive clubs in the Premier League this season that can take the title from anybody’s hands. Although Manchester City and Liverpool appear to be the top contenders, nobody should be underestimated.

Kevin De Bruyne failed to mention other clubs for this season as he still considers Liverpool the ones to beat. Someone at City should sit down with him and talk about the other clubs in the competition and why they are also important for them to beat.

As far as we are concerned, clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham should be considered amongst the contenders. Plus, squads such as Leeds United, Wolves, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa will always be a problem for the ones on top.

De Bruyne’s short sight.

Despite talking about how difficult it will be for Manchester City to win the title, De Bruyne still fails to comprehend how important other clubs will be. The man spoke to the club’s website about the new season.

“If the title pace is (the) same as the last few years it’ll be hard. We want to fight with Liverpool. That’s what sport is all about.

“With just two weeks training, it was always going to be hard. But we kept it tight and I think we did really well and we know you have to start well.

“Wolves have been a bogey team for us, so to come here and do this performance is good. “We were missing some players. We will go game by game, Thursday (in the Carabao Cup against Bournemouth ) is another one.”

“Everyone has to play with their own quality,” he added about David Silva’s absence.

“David  is the master of tight spaces, but in Phil, Bernardo (Silva), Riyad (Marhez) and Raheem (Sterling), we have players who can do the job. But obviously he is a big miss.

“We have so many attacking players, I can slot them in and they can do the rest depending on the formation of our opponents.”
