The cryptocurrency exchange platform has added a new sports sponsorship deal to its list.

FIFA has announced Crypto.com as an official sponsor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Crypto.com is one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platforms. It has more than 10 million customers and supports over 150 cryptos, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

The upcoming World Cup, which starts on November 21 this year, serves as an ideal platform for further exposure for Crypto.com both within and outside the tournament’s stadiums in Qatar.

“Crypto.com will be the exclusive cryptocurrency trading platform of Qatar 2022 and will benefit from significant branding exposure both within and outside the tournament’s stadiums,” said Kay Madati, FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer.

“We are delighted to have a global brand like Crypto.com join us as a sponsor of the exciting and ground-breaking FIFA World Cup in Qatar, ultimately helping to grow our beautiful game on a global scale.”

As part of its agreement, Crypto.com will offer new and current users access to World Cup matches. They’ll also be chances to win exclusive merchandise.

Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek added: “We could not be more excited to sponsor the FIFA World Cup, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, and to drive further awareness of Crypto.com globally.”

“Through our partnership with FIFA, we will continue to use our platform in innovative ways so that Crypto.com can power the future of world-class sports and fan experiences around the world.”

Aside from football, Crypto.com has partnerships in motorsport, MMA, basketball and ice hockey in the sports industry.
