The Manchester United superstar went live on Instagram while entering his private sauna on Wednesday night.
Over 700,000 viewers were watching when Cristiano Ronaldo started his live Instagram video on Wednesday. However, as the video proceeded, the fans only got more and more confused.
The 37-year-old entered his private sauna and then stared into the camera without saying a word. He then showed his back garden, with fans gradually realizing the United star had accidentally started the live video.
At one point, Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate, Rio Ferdinand, commented: “What you doing bro.”
As Ronaldo struggled to end the live session, fans started joking about the incident in the comment section.
“Ronaldo how 400 million followers on Instagram and he doesn’t even know how it works,” joked one viewer.
Another Instagram user wrote: “Why’s Ronaldo just baking off in a sauna in a shed not saying a single word on his Instagram live.”
“Only Ronaldo could get me to watch an Instagram live of him doing absolutely nothing,” commented a third.
Ronaldo has 401 million followers on his Instagram account, nearly 100 million ahead of his closest rival, Kyle Jenner. In the last five months, Ronaldo’s page has grown by an incredible 163 million. According to OLGB, the new numbers would enable Ronaldo to make around £1.72 million per sponsored post.
