CR7’s eldest son has all but confirmed plans to join Manchester United’s youth teams.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s 11-year-old son, Cristiano Junior, is set to follow in the Manchester United legend’s footsteps.

The San Diego-born youngster has spent the past five months playing at the club’s academy, and he now appears ready to move onto the next youth level.

Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodriguez, shared pictures of Cristiano Jnr holding his father’s iconic No.7 jersey for official club photographs on Thursday evening through Instagram.

“Pursuing our dreams together. Mom loves you,” she wrote in the caption.

No word has been given yet on which team Cristiano Jnr will play for, although it will probably be either the U-11 or U-12s.

Another talented young lad to get promoted on the same day was Gabriel, who held the No.10. The youngster posted on Instagram a picture of himself along with Cristiano Jnr, adding in the caption: “Delighted to finally have my signing day done, even better to have mine with teammates @Cristiano JR.”

What has Ronaldo said about his son becoming a footballer?

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner recently teased his son’s future by sharing a picture of the pair training on social media in Dubai over the winter break, posting in the caption: “Present and future.”

Although Ronaldo has yet to comment on this latest development, he has never put pressure on his son to become a footballer.

“Only time will tell,” he said in Georgina’s Netflix documentary, ‘I Am Georgina’.

“I will never pressure him. He will do what he wants. Also, what I want the most for Cristiano and everyone else is that they’re happy and that they choose what they want. I will support in any way.”
