On Wednesday, CR7 was nominated for three end-of-season awards after his first campaign back at Manchester United ended.

Things didn’t go to plan for Manchester United in 2021/22 with a measly sixth-place finish in the Premier League, but Cristiano Ronaldo was still able to shine.

In just 30 appearances, Ronaldo scored a decent 18 goals to finish as the league’s third-highest scorer. He produced some brilliant goals and won critical points, leading to nominations in the following three awards:

#1 Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year

Named after the club’s iconic former manager, the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year is awarded to the best Manchester United player of the season.

Ronaldo is among the favorites to win the award for a fourth time alongside David de Gea.

CR7 last won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year during the 2003/04, 2006/07, and 2007/08 seasons.

#2 Premier League Game Changer

The Premier League Game Changer award belongs to the player who fans believe had the single most game-changing performance of the 2021/22 campaign.
