The attacker has rubbished rumors linking him with a return to his boyhood club in Portugal.
Cristiano Ronaldo has branded reports of a return to Sporting CP on loan as ‘fake’.
Reports emerged from Portugal on Sunday claiming the Manchester United forward was at Sporting’s Jose Alvalade Stadium to discuss a remarkable loan return to his boyhood club.
Sport TV Portugal even posted a picture of CR7’s car in the Portuguese side’s garage on Instagram.
But Ronaldo rubbished these claims with a single word by commenting under the post: “Fake.”

Ronaldo ends his silence
It’s the first time Ronaldo has made any comment on his future since reports claiming that he wants to leave Manchester United if a suitable offer arrives emerged at the beginning of the month.
Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has said the 37-year-old is not for sale and that he has not told him about any desire to leave Old Trafford.
Ronaldo is currently training in Portugal after Manchester United gave him permission to miss their pre-season tour because of a family issue.
The Premier League side will take on Crystal Palace in a friendly in Melbourne, Australia, on Tuesday afternoon.
