A waxwork of Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled in Dubai this week but had the Manchester United star wearing the wrong strip.
London’s famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds, opened its first attraction in Dubai this week with a model of Cristiano Ronaldo.
But fans were quick to notice a problem – Ronaldo was in the black and white strip of Juventus, not his new red Manchester United shirt.
While it’s been almost two months since the Portuguese legend sent the football world into a frenzy by returning to Old Trafford, it appears Madame Tussauds is still playing catch up with the latest football news.
The museum has, though, released a statement promising CR7 fans of plans to rectify the mix-up soon.
It read: “With the ever-changing, fast world of sports where players regularly move teams, fans of Cristiano Ronaldo will be excited to hear that his wax figure is being updated with his new Manchester United jersey very soon.
“Each figure at the attraction has been captured in a moment of time and resembles an iconic part in their history.”
Ronaldo, who has scored six goals in eight appearances in England this season, returns to action on Sunday for the Manchester United-Liverpool showdown at Old Trafford.
