Cristiano Ronaldo drops Man Utd transfer hint with three-word message

Following another Man of the Match performance against Brentford, CR7 appeared to signal his determination to stay at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo has seemingly hinted that he will continue at Manchester United next season.

The forward scored a second-half penalty to help United beat Brentford 3-0 in their final home game of the season on Monday. Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane scored the other two goals.

Naturally, in a game that many speculated could’ve been his final one at Old Trafford, Ronaldo was the main talking point. His every move went under the microscope. Many fans and journalists alike watched him carefully for any sign or hint about his future plans, and it appears he gave not one but two hints.

The first hint came after the Portuguese scored his penalty. He pointed to his chest and then the ground as he celebrated at the Stretford End, seemingly indicating that he may be staying.

Then, as Ronaldo soaked up the applause of the fans during a post-match lap of honor, he appeared to give a second hint.

“I’m not finished,” he was heard telling the broadcast cameras on Sky Sports.

What did Rangnick have to say?

Just like last week, Ralf Rangnick admitted the decision over Ronaldo’s future will rest with incoming manager Erik ten Hag and the player himself.

“The way we played again tonight, not only because he scored, he also won the penalty and helped defensively, why should he not be part of the squad and help the team?” the interim Red Devils coach said.

“But this is a question you have to ask Erik and also Cristiano.”

Ronaldo still has another year left on his United contract, with the option for a third season included.

The 37-year-old has scored an impressive 24 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions this term. He is only four goals behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race, having scored 18 times in the Premier League.

He also had an initial goal against Brentford ruled out for offside before the interval.
