The Portuguese ace has denied sending a message about his future on social media.

Cristiano Ronaldo has denied saying “I’m not finished” to the cameras after Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Brentford on Monday.

The forward took his tally for the season up to 18 Premier League goals by scoring a second-half penalty at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane bagged the other two goals. It sealed the club a sound victory for the final home game of the season.

After the final whistle, Ronaldo joined the team in doing a post-match lap of honor and seemingly said to the TV cameras on Sky Sports: “I’m not finished”

These words led many to speculate the 37-year-old hinted that he would stay at Old Trafford next season, but the man himself has now disputed the message.

Commenting on Instagram to a fan account relaying this “I’m not finished” message, Ronaldo replied: “I didn’t say that.”

The former Real Madrid and Juventus star has another year left on his United contract, with the option for a third season included.

Ronaldo may return to action this Saturday for United’s trip to Brighton in the Premier League.
