Cristiano Ronaldo has reached another impressive milestone as he ramps up preparations for Portugal’s next Euro 2020 match.

The Portuguese ace has become the first person ever to reach 300 million followers on Instagram. He’s the most followed person on the social platform ahead of wrestler Dwayne Johnson (246m) and singer Ariana Grande (244m), and second only to Instagram’s own account – which has 397m followers in comparison.

To put Ronaldo’s latest achievement into context, Lionel Messi has 219m followers on Instagram. That is roughly a difference of 81 million, give or take, between the two stars. Neymar, on the other hand, has 152m – around 148 million less than CR7.
