Antonio Conte must start keeping an eye out for his job as Inter boss, claims Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero.

Antonio Conte is in ‘danger’ of facing the sack at Inter if he doesn’t deliver silverware, says Del Piero.

The Nerazzurri face the prospect of a trophy-less season, as things stand.

A bottom-place finish in the Champions League meant Inter were completely sent packing out of Europe in December.

Just last night, Conte and company played out to a goalless stalemate with rivals Juventus. That result also saw them knocked out of the Coppa Italia by a 2-1 aggregate.

All of the above means Inter have just the Serie A left to compete for.

Del Piero thinks his former teammate Conte is now in a ‘difficult’ situation and must be careful in order to avoid yet another sacking.

“Antonio’s situation is difficult,” Juve legend Alessandro Del Piero told Sky Sport.

“Inter have a deep squad and I thought they had enough men to face all competitions,” he added.

“Now he must be careful because Serie A is the only competition they can win.”

Del Piero also praised another of his teammates in current Juve boss Andrea Pirlo.

“He conquered the final, Juventus didn’t keep the ball possession, but Inter failed to find a way through. They couldn’t score and it’s something Inter must improve. I am sure Conte has a plan B or C.”
