After a week of uncertainty in the Nerazzurri camp, it’s now confirmed that star man Romelu Lukaku will miss their game against Real Madrid.

Romelu Lukaku will definitely miss Inter’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid after suffering a thigh injury.

The Nerazzurri striker went for an MRI scan after feeling discomfort during the goalless draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday. We reported about it all at the time and that the Belgian faced a race against time to be fit for this fixture.

Sadly for Inter, time was not on their side and Lukaku will now miss the big game tomorrow.

He has not recovered from the knock and missed training on Monday, the final session for Antonio Conte’s men before they take on Real.

Lukaku has been left out of the squad list for the Real game and it is a major blow for Antonio Conte and company.

The absence of the forward hits more when you consider that the Nerazzurri are yet to win in the Champions League this term. They have drawn both games against Shakhtar and Borussia Monchengladbach.

They are also in a similar situation with Real who are bottom having collected just one point from their opening two group-stage matches.

Zinedine Zidane described this game as a ‘final’, explaining just how important it is for his side.

The same goes for Antonio Conte but he now has to do this without his star man.
