Sergio Aguero has made a speedy recovery from his knee injury. City are hopeful he will be fully fit in time to play a part against Wolves.

Manchester City begin their Premier League campaign against Wolves next Monday. Sergio Aguero could be in line to make his recovery for that game.

The Argentine forward was expected to miss the start of the 2020-21 campaign after going under the knife in late June.

But according to the Sun, Aguero will be available for selection by Pep Guardiola in the September 21 clash after making quick progress in his rehabilitation.

The report claims the City forward is now pain free and his mobility is improving. All of that has given City confidence he will be available to feature in the Molineux face-off.

The Manchester outfit will be thankful their season kicks off a week later than most teams. Themselves and neighbors Manchester United were granted extra time off due to their European exploits last season.

Their season came to an end only three weeks ago when they were eliminated from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage after a 3-1 defeat against Lyon.

Aguero was absent for the disappointing defeat and Guardiola will be hoping he can keep the 32-year-old fit for as much of the season as he can.

The prolific forward scored 23 times in just 32 appearances last season and is the club’s all-time highest goalscorer.with a staggering 254 goals.

City will be hoping to regain their Premier League crown from Liverpool this season. Aguero will no doubt play a key role if that is to happen.
