The Blues seem to be struggling in the final third of the pitch lately, having scored only 11 goals in 12 games under the new manager.

Ben Chilwell has praised Chelsea’s defensive strength but wants his side to be more ruthless in front of goal.

Thomas Tuchel has quickly helped Chelsea get closer to achieving their targets for the season, with the team having climbed up from mid-table to occupy a Champions League spot.

The Blues have been remarkably solid at the back under the German manager, having conceded just three goals and registered 10 clean sheets during their 12-game unbeaten run.

However, the same cannot be same about their attack as the London outfit have scored just 11 goals in their last 12 games across all competitions.

Chelsea played out a 0-0 stalemate against Leeds United last time out, and Chilwell feels they should have taken all three points.

“We need a bit more from each other in the final third and that is something we are trying to add,” the left-back told post-match, via Chelseafc.com.

“Defensively as a team we are solid and we are not conceding but going forward, we are going to want to score more goals to get us the wins.

“It is important if you can’t win a game then don’t lose it. That unbeaten run gives us good momentum going forward, and we can hopefully keep keeping clean sheets and score a few more goals.”
