Ahead of the new Champions League campaign, Girogio Chiellini has outlined Juventus’ ambitions in the competition.

Giorgio Chiellini says Juventus always aim to win the Champions League every time they participate in the competition.

The Bianconeri have seen serial success on domestic soil over the past decade. However, the same can not be said of their outings on the continental front.

One would have to go all the way back to the 1995/96 season for the last time Juventus got their hands on the Champions League.

Ahead of a new campaign, Chiellini says the goal remains to win the competition.

The Old Lady will start their campaign with a trip to Kiev and the Juventus captain maintains the team must remain focused on their ambitions.

“Players have changed but I donโ€™t see big differences from the past if not a normal change of players,” Chiellini said in the press conference on the eve of the game.

“We have not yet had the opportunity to work all together and these weeks show it, the important thing is to continue to work and to amalgamate more and more with the newcomers.”

“You have to win, this is the important thing. I donโ€™t know how long it will take to see the team at its best, but tomorrow night it will be very important to score a goal.”

Chiellini added: “We start every season with the aim to win the Champions League, we donโ€™t care about being in the first row.”

“We are aware of the changes, but there is great desire and conviction that we can aspire to great goals that only time can reveal to us.”

“The important thing is to improve, grow and achieve results.”

After the away game to Dynamo Kyiv, Juventus and Chiellini will play host to one of the most anticipated Champions League games when they welcome Barcelona nine days from now.
