After a comfortable win over Crystal Palace, the Chelsea winger reacted to continue winning more games for the club.

Ben Chilwell expects Chelsea to build motivation after their 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Subsequently, the winger became the third player to both score and assist in the Premier League debut.

After a decent start to the game, Chilwell scored right after the half time at Stamford Bridge.

The England international did not play Chelsea’s first three league games due to injury. Although, the left-back helped the Blues double their lead with a beautiful assist.

Evidently, the defender lofted the ball to center back Kurt Zouma to score a sublime header. Also, Frank Lampard’s side easily crushed Palace with Jorginho’s two spot-kicks.

Almost a brace.

Chilwell was unlucky to score his second goal. Though, the defender created three chances during the game. He now equals the record of two other players – Deco (August 2008), and Alvaro Morata (August 2017).

Along with Chilwell, both these players managed to get a goal and an assist in their debuts.

“Brilliant team performance,” Chilwell told BT Sport. “Obviously, I’m very happy with my personal performance, but it’s great for us to start to kick on now.

“A clean sheet, which we obviously wanted and spoke about, and four great goals as a team.

“I liked the way we kept going until the end, we wanted more goals and showed a hunger to press for the whole 90 minutes. Brilliant going into the international break”

Chilwell’s arrival brings new hope to the Blues ahead of their Premier League campaign.

The 23-year-old played his 100th top-tier match and hopes to continue along the path of success.

“Personally, and speaking to the other boys who have come here, the reason we have all come here is that we think this team can win stuff,” Chilwell said.

“Today showed that we are all hungry to win trophies over the years, we just need to work hard and keeping making performances like this one.”
