The Blues made a flying start to the new league campaign while the Gunners, on the other hand, endured embarrassment.

Michael Owen predicts a 2-0 win for Chelsea against Arsenal in the upcoming London derby, which he believes is “a mismatch.”

Arsenal will go into Sunday’s crunch clash with the intention of picking up all three points, having suffered a shock 2-0 defeat against Brentford on Premier League matchday 1.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will be determined to make it two wins out of two in the new league campaign, having secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace last week.

Owen, however, can only see the match going one way as he believes the Gunners have barely improved compared to last season despite spending considerably in the summer market.

“Anything can happen in derbies, but this London Derby looks like a mismatch,” the former Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester United striker wrote in his BetVictor column.

“I think Chelsea will comfortably win this 2-0 and pile the pressure on Arsenal.”

Owen added: “I was very disappointed with what I saw from Arsenal on Friday. I know they were missing a few of their first team but Brentford were deserved winners.

“They’ve spent money this summer, but have they improved much from where they were last season? I don’t think so.

“I’d be surprised if they finished any higher than sixth this season.”
