The Blancos are preparing for Karim Benzema’s imminent move to Saudi Arabia.

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea’s Kai Havertz.

The Blancos’ summer plans have changed after reports of Karim Benzema’s imminent move to Al Ittihad. The La Liga giants were initially planning on signing a second striker to play alongside Benzema.

However, the Frenchman’s possible departure opens up space for another forward to join Real Madrid’s attacking line.

According to Relevo, Real Madrid officials have discussed a potential summer move for Havertz. An additional report from Fabrizio Romano claims Havertz is “really appreciated” by Carlo Ancelotti.

Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Havertz. However, they would only consider a permanent move and not a loan deal.

Since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020, Havertz has remained a key player in Chelsea’s attacking line.

However, most observers believe the 23-year-old is yet to reach his full potential at Stamford Bridge. Last season, the German international scored seven goals in his 35 appearances for the Blues.

Real Madrid were keen on making an official bid for Havertz back in 2020. However, Chelsea moved fast to sign the German star for €80m plus add-ons.

The future of Havertz will also depend on Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for Chelsea. The young forward still has three years remaining on his contract, with the Blues being under no pressure to sell him this summer.
