The Blues are open to selling Conor Gallagher this January.

Chelsea have reportedly set a £50m price tag for Conor Gallagher amid interest from Tottenham.

Gallagher has played in all but one of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far this season, starting 17 matches. The English star has become a cornerstone of the Blues’ midfield line under Mauricio Pochettino. But it seems that Chelsea are convinced to sell him as they look to balance the books and sign a new striker.

According to the Sun, Tottenham are planning to sell Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this winter to raise enough funds for Gallagher. The former Bayern Munich academy star has enjoyed regular playing time this season, but the club reportedly believe that he’s not an ideal match to Ange Postecoglou’s tactics.

Gallagher was linked with a move to West Ham in the summer transfer window. However, Chelsea’s £50m demand for the midfielder ultimately fended off interest from the Hammers. Now that Gallagher is enjoying more playing time under Pochettino, it could be difficult to convince him to switch sides mid-season.

Both Hojbjerg and Gallagher are under contract at their respective clubs until 2025. Let’s see if Hojbjerg’s potential departure could convince the Spurs to meet Chelsea’s demand for Gallagher this winter.
