The USMNT star struggled for gametime under Thomas Tuchel last season.

Christian Pulisic hopes to regain his best form under new Chelsea manager, Graham Potter.

Following Thomas Tuchel‘s surprise dismissal earlier this month, Chelsea appointed Potter as their new boss.

Potter used Pulisic as a second-half substitute during his side’s 1-1 draw against Salzburg before the international break.

As the Blues prepare for their second game under the English boss, Pulisic seems motivated to reclaim his lineup spot.

“I’m feeling good going back, honestly,” he told reporters on Wednesday.

“I have a fresh start now, and I’m excited to play for the new manager. So I’m just looking forward to it. I just have to prove myself, as everyone does, and as I’ve done before.”

Pulisic started for USMNT in their 0-0 stalemate against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. The Chelsea star didn’t look happy when he was substituted in the 76th minute but feels good to have earned more game time.

“I always want to be in the games,” Pulisic added.

“I was just trying to score goals and trying to win the game. But it’s good to get some minutes in and I feel healthy.”
