The Blues have received yet another injury-hit amid their form issues under Graham Potter.

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has confirmed Christian Pulisic has suffered a long-term injury.

Pulisic limped off the pitch in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat against Manchester City on Thursday. He joined Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling, who also suffered injuries that evening.

Potter was optimistic about Sterling and Aubameyang’s recoveries but revealed Pulisic might stay on the sidelines for months.

“Pierre is fine and he will be in the squad [to face Fulham],” he said.

“Christian is a couple of months we think. Raheem is less, hopefully less than that.”

Injury issues have piled up at Chelsea amid the Blues’ struggle for form under Graham Potter. In addition to the three players mentioned above, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ben Chilwell, Reece James and N’Golo Kante are also out with fitness issues.

“Ruben and Ben Chilwell getting closer,” Potter added.

“Reece was out on the grass today, not training with the team but on his own. N’Golo is training on his own but a long way to go.”

Chelsea have made four winter signings to provide more squad depth for the second half of the season. Joao Felix joined the Blues on Wednesday following the arrivals of David Datro Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Andrey Santos.
