The Blues didn’t sign a replacement for Broja after his move to Fulham.

Mauricio Pochettino believes Chelsea have enough attacking options despite the mid-season departure of Armando Broja.

The Blues reached an agreement with Fulham to loan out Broja until the end of the season. That leaves Pochettino’s side with Nicholas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku as their main strikers.

However, the Argentine manager considers 18-year-old Deivid Washington as another attacking option at his disposal.

“It is important to recover Christoph [Nkunku], and it is important for Nico Jackson to arrive,” Pochettino told reporters on Friday. “Also, sometimes we forget, but Deivid Washington is here with us. The options we have up front are enough.”

Since completing a £17.2million transfer from Santos last summer, Washington has struggled to find his place in Chelsea’s lineup, making only two senior appearances. Broja, on the other hand, had a decent breakthrough season, making 13 appearances under Pochettino before leaving for Fulham.

Asked about the Albanian star’s departure, Pochettino added: “It is a very good opportunity for him to play maybe more. It’s a good move for him and he can take the opportunity to play more.”

After suffering a crushing defeat against Liverpool on Wednesday, Chelsea prepare to face Wolves in their next Premier League game this weekend.
