Chelsea have made great advancements over the move of Kai Havertz after agreeing with Bayer Leverkusen on a transfer fee.

A transfer ban had Chelsea boss Frank Lampard’s hands tied down during his first transfer window, but he is more than making up for it this summer.

After signing Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, it is understood that Lampard has made signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz, along with Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell, one of his priorities.

Havertz, as per reports, agreed on personal terms with the Blues a while back but the lack of agreement between the two clubs over a transfer fee has been delaying his move.

However, the Premier League side and the Bundesliga team have finally managed to find a common ground.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, an initial fee of €80 million has been agreed with an additional €20 million in add-ons, and Chelsea are now preparing to finalize the deal.

If the report turns out to be true, the German midfielder will overtake Kepa Arrizabalaga as the club’s record signing.
