Reports around Milan Skriniar’s possible departure emerged at the beginning of the current transfer window. However, PSG have been reluctant to meet Inter’s €80m demand for the defender.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri might accept a bid for Dumfries after failing to sell Skriniar.
The Italian outlet claims Chelsea have shown interest in signing the Dutch full-back. The Blues must compete against Premier League rivals Manchester United to secure Dumfries’ signing this summer.
Inter have already signed Raoul Bellanova from Cagliari as a backup for Dumfries. However, the Nerazzurri are determined to avoid selling Dumfries for anything lower than their asking price of €40m.
Dumfries joined Inter after his brilliant Euro 2020 campaign last summer. Following his €13.7m move from Eindhoven, the Netherland international scored five goals and provided seven assists in his 45 appearances for the Nerazzurri across all competitions last season.
Inter are also eyeing a move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic. However, they are yet to submit a bid for the 24-year-old.
