A change of managerial personnel has proved to be extensively good for the Blues, who are now one step away from achieving European glory.

Thomas Tuchel feels “very, very good” at Chelsea and can see himself having a long-term future at the club.

Tuchel signed a short-term deal with Chelsea upon picking up the managerial baton put down by Frank Lampard in January. Just three months into his 18-month-long contract, he has already made his case quite strong for being rewarded with fresh and improved terms.

Although their attack often leaves wanting for more, the Blues have become one of the best teams defensively in all of Europe under the German tactician – and this defensive solidity has taken them far this season.

Chelsea secured a top-four finish in the Premier League, reached the FA Cup final, and are one step away from being crowned the champions of Europe, with the former Paris Saint-Germain becoming the first manager ever to lead two different clubs to consecutive Champions League finals.

“For me, yes, it feels exactly like [Chelsea are a club for the long-term],” Tuchel told CBS Sports. “I don’t want to hide from it and play games. It feels like I’m in the perfect place at the perfect time. I feel very, very good.

“Hopefully, it’s like this but I know we have to deliver. It’s about timing, not only about results sometimes but the chemistry, the moment, the team. Everything feels very, very good now.”
