The Blues Intensify their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic following Christopher Nkunku’s injury blow.

Chelsea are reportedly ramping up its efforts to secure the services of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The Blues face the prospect of an extended period without newly-acquired forward Christopher Nkunku due to a knee injury sustained in a pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund last week.

Nkunku, who had only recently joined the club this summer, now faces months on the sidelines, prompting discussions within Stamford Bridge about the need for additional attacking options.

According to sources at ESPN, Chelsea’s hierarchy is exploring the possibility of securing Vlahovic’s signature to mitigate the absence of Nkunku.

While Chelsea already boasts a considerable depth in their forward line, including the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Nicolas Jackson, Vlahovic’s skillset and potential offer an enticing prospect for the club’s attacking prowess.

The potential transfer could also be facilitated by the presence of Romelu Lukaku, who could be used as a valuable bargaining chip. The Belgian striker’s desire to remain in Italy could be leveraged to secure the acquisition of a younger talent like Vlahovic.

The Serbian star scored for Juve in their 3-1 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday. The Bianconeri will face Atalanta in their last pre-season game next weekend.
