The Spaniard has found a tough start to his Chelsea career since joining the Blues in the summer.

Marc Cucurella has opened up on Chelsea’s struggles, admitting the Blues are yet to find their rhythm under Graham Potter.

Cucurella joined Chelsea on a £60m deal from Brighton in the summer transfer window. However, his performances haven’t been enough to prevent Chelsea from suffering a string of disappointing results in recent weeks.

The Blues have, however, bounced back by claiming three consecutive victories, qualifying for the Champions League quarter-finals.

“The team have three important wins for the confidence,” Cucurella told Chelsea’s official website. “The team play really good and this is very important because now we have the last part of the season and this is the most important part.”

Potter has come under pressure for Chelsea’s poor results despite massive spending from the new owners. But Cucurella believes the Blues already have the next season in mind as they try to improve their form.

“I think maybe the season is a little bit difficult,” he added. “But we are working to progress and to improve for the next season. Maybe this season is more build-up.”

Chelsea will face Aston Villa in their first league game after the international break. The Blues will then take on Liverpool in a crucial match three days later.
