Timo Werner finally ended his goal drought as Chelsea strolled past League Two side Morecambe with a 4-0 score-line in the FA Cup.

Chelsea were widely expected to dispatch Morecambe in their FA Cup clash and did just that in the show-down at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues were without a win in their last three Premier League games but this represented a good chance for them to get back to winning ways.

Frank Lampard put out a pretty strong lineup that showed Chelsea were all out for the victory from the onset.

Mason Mount, celebrating his 22nd birthday, gave Chelsea the lead after 18 minutes with a long-range crack into the bottom corner. Timo Werner made it 2-0 with an easy tap-in just before half-time. The goal would come as a relief for the German who was without a goal in his last 12 appearances.

Callum Hudson-Odoi added a third, before Kai Havertz added a fourth late on in the second half as Chelsea eased their way into the fourth round of the FA Cup.

They will find out opponents for the next round following the draw on Monday.
