The Blues claimed their first victory of the new season after a dominant home display.

Chelsea defeated Luton Town 3-0 in their Premier League game on Friday. The Blues bounced back from their slow start to the new campaign with a crucial victory at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling steals the show!

The game started with Chelsea quickly establishing their dominance over the possession. Following an assist from Malo Gusto and a wonderful solo run, Raheem Sterling scored Chelsea’s first goal of the night in the 17th minute.

The Blues stayed in charge of the game throughout the first half. But they had to wait until after the break to extend their lead.

Another Gusto assist, this time from the right-hand side of the box, saw Sterling complete his brace in the 68th minute. Chelsea then put their victory to bed seven minutes later when Nicolas Jackson scored his maiden goal for the club.

Sterling’s deflected cross found Jackson inside the box, with the striker then making it 3-0 with a cool finish.

Chelsea vs Luton Town: Man of the Match

Sterling was undoubtedly Chelsea’s best player as he scored twice and sat up Jackson for the third goal. The English midfielder is seemingly on his way to regaining his best form at Chelsea, constantly challenging opposition defenders with quick runs down the right flank.
