An incredible performance from Arsenal’s attacking line saw the Gunners defeat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-2 in their Premier League game on Wednesday. The Gunners closed in on reclaiming their top-four spot after an impressive win in the London derby.

Arsenal bounce back in style!

The Gunners came into the game on the back of three disappointing defeats against Crystal Palace, Brighton, and Southampton.

However, they soon showed their will to display an improved performance against their city rivals. Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring for Arsenal only 13 minutes into the game, but Chelsea managed to find the equalizer through Timo Werner only four minutes later.

Mikel Arteta’s side, however, continued their devastating attacks from both flanks, with Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe constantly running behind Chelsea’s backline.

Smith Rowe finally restored Arsenal’s lead in the 27th minute. However, Chelsea managed to find a quick equalizer once again.

This time, Cesar Azpilicueta made it 2-2 only five minutes after Smith-Rowe’s goal.

Arsenal had a few more chances to score again in the first half, but they had to wait until the 57th minute to clinch their next goal.

Following a misplaced pass from Azpilicueta, Eddie Nketiah slotted the ball into the bottom to put Arsenal ahead for the third time.

Chelsea tried to level the game once more, but this time, Arsenal managed to hold them at bay with their clever pressing. The Gunners secured the win when the referee awarded them a penalty for Azpilicueta’s unnecessary foul on Bukayo Saka in the 90th minute.

The England international stepped up to complete his brilliant performance by adding his name to the scoreboard. Completely exhausted, Chelsea had no chance of returning back to the game after getting 4-2 behind.

What’s next for Arsenal and Chelsea?

The victory sends the Gunners level on points with Tottenham, but they remain fifth due to Spurs’ higher goal difference.

On the other hand, third-placed Chelsea now feel more pressure from Arsenal and Tottenham, who are five points behind them on the table.

The Blues will have to play in another London derby next week when they take on West Ham on home soil. Arsenal will prepare to host Manchester United in another existing game on Saturday.
