The Hammers found a brilliant start to the second period, scoring the opener through Michail Antonio in the 62nd minute.

The Blues doubled down on their attacks after the equalizer while West Ham retreated to their own half. They finally scored the winner when Chilwell completed his brilliant performance with an assist in the 88th minute.

The English star’s precise cross found Havertz, who smashed it past Lukasz Fabianski with a powerful shot from inside the box.

West Ham pushed hard to get back into the game, going as far as to score a disallowed goal through Maxwell Cornet.
However, David Moyes’ side had to settle for the defeat as they couldn’t convert their late chances.

Chelsea climbed up to the fifth spot on the EPL table after their victory over West Ham.

The Blues will now prepare to meet Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League opener on Tuesday.
