The Blues ended their run of three winless games in the Premier League.

Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 in their Premier League game on Sunday. A hard-fought victory eases the pressure on Graham Potter as the Blues hope to regain their best form.

Havertz with a crucial goal!

Similar to their last few displays, Chelsea struggled to find their momentum early on. But a few saves from Kepa Arizabalaga prevented Palace from finding a breakthrough.

Chelsea, however, found their feet in the game toward the end of the first period, coming close to scoring through Kai Havertz.

The German finally put his side ahead after Chelsea increased the pressure in the second half. Following a brilliant cross from Hakim Ziyech, Havertz made it 1-0 for the Blues with a towering header.

Palace went all-in with their attacks in the final 20 minutes, while Chelsea pushed to score on the counter-attacks. However, neither side managed to score as they both lacked enough attacking edge to convert their chances.

Chelsea stay tenth in the Premier League as they prepare to face Liverpool next Saturday. Potter’s side hope to build on their form against Crystal Palace as they try to integrate a host of new signings into their squad.
