Thomas Tuchel continued his unbeaten run as Chelsea boss after a goalless stalemate with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
In a repeat of the first leg at Old Trafford, Chelsea and Manchester United played out to their second goalless draw of the season.
In a first-half that was low on chances, the biggest talking point came when Callum Hudson-Odoi was judged to have handled the ball in a tussle with Masin Greenwood. However, Stuart Attwell overturned the decision after a quick VAR review.
Olivier Giroud had two chances for Chelsea but could not connect with either chance for a header, while Hudson-Odoi flashed wide on the volley.
Chelsea had the best chance of the game up until then, with David de Gea making a strong point-blank stop to deny Hakim Ziyech.
The game continued to open up as Scott McTominay then forced a save from Edouard Mendy not long after. Elsewhere, Fred and Greenwood flashed shots wide from outside the box.
However, neither side could find the quality in the final third to secure all three points.
Both sides would be disappointed not to have won, but Solskjaer would be the happier of both managers. The point gained was enough to see the Red Devils remain in second place after Leicester lost to Arsenal earlier in the day.
Tuchel continues life as Chelsea boss with an unbeaten record to his name. Manchester United also carried on with their uneaten run away for home. The last time they lost on the road goes back to 406 days ago.
