Dusan Vlahovic’s debut Champions League goal not enough for Juventus as Villarreal fight back to earn a draw.
Dusan Vlahovic scored the fastest-ever Champions League goal by a player on his debut, but that wasn’t enough for Juventus who were held to a draw by Villarreal on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old gave the Old Lady the lead in the 32nd second of the game but Massimiliano Allegri’s men were unable to find a second goal as the clock ticked on.
Dani Parejo equalised for the hosts in the 66th minute as they held on to make the return leg of the fixture a must-win for both sides.
Villarreal dominated possession offering little to no chance to Juventus to find a winner.
Alvaro Morata had the opportunity to give his side the lead on the half-hour mark, but fired over the crossbar after receiving a decent cross from Weston McKennie.
