Karim Benzema finished as the Champions League’s top scorer in 2021-22. The Real Madrid striker scored 15 goals in 12 appearances to help his club win a record 14th European title. He finished two goals clear of Lewandowski, who played for Bayern Munich, and a further two goals ahead of former Ajax frontman Sebastien Haller.
