With the 2020/21 Champions League completed, Ace Football gives you the list of top scorers and assist providers for the season.
Erling Haaland has finished as the Champions League’s top scorer in 2020/21. The Borussia Dortmund striker scored 10 goals in eight appearances to finish ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Youssef En-Nesyri.
In only his second season in the Champions League, Haaland was again outstanding. The 20-year-old bagged six goals in four group-stage games. It made him the fastest player to reach 16 goals overall in the competition. Had an injury not ruled him out of Dortmund’s last two Group F fixtures, who knows how many he would’ve scored?.
Haaland scored four more times in the knockout stages to finish two goals ahead of Kylian Mbappe in the scoring charts.
En-Nesyri (Sevilla), Olivier Giroud (Chelsea), Neymar (PSG), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), and Alvaro Morata (Juventus) all finished level on six goals.
