Manchester City looking to clinch maiden Champions League trophy with positive last-16 result.

Manchester City look to continue on their journey to lift a maiden Champions League trophy with a win over Portuguese champions Sporting CP.

Pep Guardiola’s side are on a fine fun of form, winning their last 12 games across competitions. The defending Premier League champions sit nine points ahead of second-placed Liverpool in the league, and beat PSG to top their Champions League Group A.

Sporting, however, aren’t to be taken lightly. They enter the first-leg having finished second in Group C, edging out Borussia Dortmund on goal difference.

UEFA have scrapped the away goals rule for the round-of-16, making each leg of the tie a must-win for both sides.
