Champions League last-16 draw: Ronaldo & Messi set for epic showdown

The draw for the 2021/22 Champions League knockout stages takes place on Monday, with some mouth-watering ties lying in wait already.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will meet for the seventh time in the Champions League in February.

Clubs discovered their fates on Monday afternoon at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, for the last-16 stage in the Champions League.

NOTE: The results for the last-16 Champions League draw have been made void due to a technical error. UEFA has confirmed a second draw for the knockout stages will take place later on Monday afternoon.

The Round of 16 tie results

UEFA divided clubs into two separate pots for the draw – one for seeded group winners and the other for unseeded runners-up.

The seeded teams (group winners) play the second-leg of their last-16 ties at home, while the unseeded clubs (runners-ups) host the first-leg.

Final

The 2021/22 Champions League final takes place on May 28 at the Gazprom Arena in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
