It appears Cesc Fabregas is quite serious about an Arsenal flop’s true potential, he thinks he could’ve played in Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Cesc Fabregas played alongside many players with amazing potential at Arsenal but some of them are considered flops. In fact, he still thinks Jack Wilshere was unlucky with injuries and he believes he could’ve easily played for the best clubs in the world.

Back when he started his Arsenal career, Jack was learning from his captain and had the whole world in front of him. We all know how his career ended up, but Cesc thinks things could’ve been quite different. We are not denying Wilshere’s talent, he is arguably one of the most gifted footballers of his generation.

Injuries did play an unfortunate role throughout his career, which is exactly what kept him from reaching his potential. Fabregas sure knows how to spot talent in football, he grew up playing next to Leo Messi. It’s important to listen to what he has to say about Jack’s missed chances to play for the best clubs in the world.

Fabregas thinks Jack was La Liga material.

Cesc is convinced that Jack Wilshere was on a level similar to what Gareth Bale reached but in a different position. He also mentions Aaron Ramsey on a similar path: “Jack was such a good talent, one of the most talented players I’ve ever played with,” Fabregas told the Daily Mail.

“He was just 16 when he first came to train with us and I was like ‘wow this guy is good, strong, sharp.’ It’s a big shame what has happened to him, I feel sorry because he could have been a proper English legend of the game.

“We always talk about how British players would adapt to teams in Europe – I always believed that Jack was one of the few Brits who could have made it big time at Real Madrid or Barcelona. Same with Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale. These guys are so talented, without injuries they could have done much more.”
