Let’s take a look at the Player Ratings from the latest Glasgow derby between Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish Premiership this season.
The spoils of the Old Firm derby between Glasgow rivals Celtic and Rangers ended in a 1-1 draw.
Celtic, who entered the match dethroned as champions for the first time in a decade, shaded the derby in terms of possession and shots. Rangers, though, did enough to keep their ‘Invincibles’ league campaign alive in the end.
It took until the 23rd-minute for the derby to burst into life when Mohamed Elyounoussi scored. Odsonne Edouard made a smart run down the left and laid a decent cross for the Southampton loanee to score his eighth goal of the season.

With a 1-0 lead, Celtic continued to press Rangers and had an Edouard penalty appeal inside the box waived away.
Alfredo Morelos then nodded home a corner-kick seven minutes before the break to equalize for Rangers. It was the Colombian’s 10th goal of the season and his 55th goal, and perhaps one of his most significant, in the Scottish Premiership.
55 league goals for Alfredo Morelos
55 league titles for Rangers.

The scoreline remained the same in a clash that lacked its usual intensity. Most of the play went down the flanks as the two rivals attempted to outdo one another in search of a winner. They each had their moments, but never really had a grip on the match.
A draw in the end was probably a fair result in an otherwise underwhelming Old Firm clash.
Scottish champions Rangers, therefore, remain 20 points above their Glasgow rivals Celtic in the league standings.
Steven Gerrard’s men have been relentless all season and can still end the campaign unbeaten.
