During a table analysis for Sky Sports Football, Jamie Carragher praised Harry Kane’s passing and compared him to an elite midfielder.

Harry Kane might be the best striker in the Premier League, but Jamie Carragher also loves his passing skills. The former Liverpool star is convinced that the England captain has passing skills to the level of the best midfielder in English football.

We are talking about Kevin De Bruyne, who currently plays for Manchester City. In Carragher’s eyes, this would make Kane the second-best passer in the Premier League right now. Despite leaving De Bruyne as the absolute best, he mentioned that Kane is not too far behind the Belgian midfielder.

It’s obvious that this opinion will raise many eyebrows because there are so many players who can compete against De Bruyne as the Premier League’s best most skilled passer.

Carragher has no doubts about Kane’s passing.

It all happened during the Monday Night Football show as Jamie Carragher was doubling down on his praise of Harry Kane’s skills.

“When Harry Kane played that ball against West Ham, I said he is one of the best passers of the ball in the world,” the former Reds defender said on Sky Sports.

“You calm down and you think, ‘I’ve gone a bit big there’. But then I’ve thought about it. Who is the best passer of the ball in the world. I’d possibly say Kevin de Bruyne.

“But in the Premier League, who would I want on the ball trying to put someone through after Kevin de Bruyne? It would be Harry Kane. So, if Kevin de Bruyne is the best, then Harry Kane probably isn’t far away, so maybe it wasn’t the biggest shout in the world. Kane has always had more to his game than just scoring goals.”
